One month after Playtime: what my heart still holds

A little over a month ago, I closed the door of the fair with tired feet, a slightly hoarse voice… and the fullest heart.
Today, I want to take a moment to look back on that intense and beautiful chapter: Playtime Paris.

Taking part in Playtime was a milestone.
A step toward greater visibility. A step toward boutiques that are sensitive to craftsmanship and emotion. A step toward a more confident version of Petit Poirier.
I didn’t go “just to see what would happen.” I went with a clear vision: to show that my embroidered brooches and patches belong in concept stores, gift boutiques, and curated spaces that are looking for meaning.
And it was a success.
Real encounters
What moved me the most wasn’t only the orders (even though they exceeded my expectations).
It was the looks 👀
The people who stopped. Who picked up a brooch and held it in their hands. Who instantly understood the intention behind it.
Some boutiques told me, “It’s sooo beautiful.”“It really speaks to emotions.”
In that moment, I knew Petit Poirier had found its place — and that, finally, my work is truly appreciated. ♥️

Play & Patch: the set of 12 iron-on shapes
The Play & Patch iron-on shapes truly stood out.
The idea of creating your own design, of playing with shapes and composing something personal… sparked real enthusiasm.
Buyers were already imagining window displays, creative workshops, storytelling installations. It was no longer just a product. It was an experience.
And that is exactly what I wanted to offer.
The numbers, yes. But above all, the feeling.
Yessss, the orders are here!! Yes, new collaborations are taking shape. Yes, Petit Poirier is entering beautiful boutiques 🥰
But what matters most is something else.
I felt legitimate.
One month later, I realize this show marked a turning point: less doubt, more grounding. Less “Do I really belong here?” More “I know exactly why I’m doing this.”
What I hold onto dearly
The pride of running the booth on my own.
The depth and strength of the conversations.
The confirmation that emotion has value.
The proof that sensitive, poetic craftsmanship can find its place in the professional world.
Petit Poirier is growing. Not loudly. Not in a rush.
But with consistency, delicacy, and depth.
Thank you to everyone who came to discover the universe. Thank you to the boutiques that trust my work. Thank you to those who wear the talismans.
The story continues 😊
And it keeps becoming more and more beautiful 😍
Warmly,
Alexandra
